Full circles
and looking forward
This summer into fall has been a full circle ⭕ —- a full cycle of learning, play, movement, creativity and connection.
I began my summer in Rottach-Egern, Germany in Jeremy Krauss’ Abilities Training which breathed new life, nuance and clarity into my hands-on work and creative thinking. This was followed by a 5 day artist-in-residence retreat at the Young State Theatre of Bavaria / Junges Landestheater which lovingly supported my artist self on so many meaningful levels.
The rest of the summer was filled lots of fun & nourishing time with family, friends, nature, rest and inspired bursts of creativity in teaching, art making, writing & envisioning (including creating this space on Substack :)
Now I’m in Germany again, at the next segment of the Abilities training. After two days in I’m so clear that I’m in the right place at the right time.
I felt like this last time and I feel it again now—-it’s like someone is turning the lights on (in my hands and in my ability to see, sense & think).
I’m so looking forward to
Seeing what will emerge / unfold / grow in the next 8 days
Practicing what I’m learning with many people (if you’re in the Boston area, come see me in person! Or travel to Boston for a series of hands-on lessons :)
Continuing the development a new expansive container for deepening Movement & Creativity practices (I’ll be sharing details in the coming weeks!)
Sharing more free practices in this space. In case you missed it, here’s an 18 min JKA Solvents & Glue Basic Swing w/ Jeremy Krauss
New vision for Movement & Creativity Sketchbook:
Movement and Creativity Sketchbook is an experimental space with free practices, highlights, fragments, experiments, elements, play and inspiration for your movement and creativity practices and beyond.
There’s a vibrant and welcoming community forming already in the comments underneath the posts. Thank you to everyone who is participating in that way!
Use this space like it’s a deck of inspiration cards. Randomly or intentionally pick a card out of the virtual deck. See where your curiosity leads….

My impulse is to share this
make peace with all the women you once were.
lay flowers at their feet.
offer them incense and honey and forgiveness.
honor them and give them your silence.
listen.
bless them and let them be.
for they are the bones of the temple you sit in now.
for they are the rivers of wisdom leading you toward the sea.
// i have been a thousand different women

The full circle of nature with summer giving space to autumn, its soothing colour hues and fallen leaves, cozy jumpers, refreshing wind on my cheeks, cocooning in the warmth… and letting go of what no longer serves me just like the majestic trees shedding their leaves
